Key Responsibilities
As a Lecturer in Digital Technologies, you’ll play a critical role in delivering high-quality education and supporting student success. Main responsibilities include:
- Planning, delivering, and assessing students’ work to meet all academic standards.
- Developing and enhancing course materials to stay in line with industry trends.
- Leading course modules and engaging students to retain their interest.
- Participating in regular staff development activities.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure cohesive program delivery.
Essential Requirements
To qualify for this exciting role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree (minimum) in a relevant field, such as Computing, IT, or Computer Science. A PhD is preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- Specialized Knowledge: Proficiency in one or more of the following:
- Programming & Software Development
- Web Development & Digital Marketing
- Database Systems, Cloud Computing, or IoT
- Business Analysis & Digital Transformation
- Teaching Experience: Proven lecturing experience and the ability to guide and assess student projects.
Desirable Qualifications
Ideal candidates may also have the following:
- Teaching qualifications (e.g., PGCHE, MA in Higher Education Practice, or FHEA)
- Industry experience in computing or digital technology fields
