Job Description
The Accountant role is critical for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain general ledger accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and assist in tax preparation.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgeted figures.
- Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during audits.
- Monitor accounts payable/receivable processes to ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs against budgets.
- Provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in accounting or finance roles, preferably within the construction or engineering sector.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
