Major Responsibilities of Auditors

The auditors will be responsible for carrying out audits on Pakistan’s top 5% wealthiest individuals whose lifestyle and assets do not align with their tax payments. Their tasks will involve:

• 100% computerized audits using national-level data and risk management models.
• 70% desk audits focusing on low- to medium-risk taxpayers, which was previously limited to only 5%.
• 40% comprehensive audits of high-risk cases, up from last year’s 1%.
