About the Position
This UCL careers appointment seeks an Associate Lecturer (Teaching) to deliver UCL’s Term 2 module, “PUBL0008 Public Management: Theories and Innovations.” In this part-time role (0.30 FTE), the appointed lecturer will teach, assess, and support students with a primary focus on enhancing their understanding of public management concepts and practices. Additionally, the lecturer may assist in second-marking assignments for other modules within the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching and Assessment: Conduct lectures and seminars, first and second marking assignments, and guiding students through coursework.
- Student Support: Offer weekly office hours to support student inquiries and academic growth.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with UCL faculty to ensure the high-quality delivery of materials, including reading lists, seminar plans, and lecture slides.
The position runs from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2025 and offers a competitive salary of £46,546 – £51,610, inclusive of the London Allowance.
Qualifications and Skills

- Hold a PhD in Political Science or a related field (or be actively pursuing one).
